Jeno Tihanyi Olympic Gold Pool
The Jeno Tihanyi Pool features a 50m Olympic-size, 8-lane lap swimming pool that has a movable bulkhead that converts the pool into two 25-yards, 8-lane pools.
The pool is currently closed.
Fieldhouse Gyms
The Field House Gym contains two basketball/volleyball courts and is located on the second level of the 91ÇÑ×Ó Student Recreation Centre.
Our two spacious gyms, Gym C and Gym D, each the size of a full basketball court, offer versatile facilities for various sports and activities. Perfect for basketball, volleyball, and badminton, Gym C and Gym D can each accommodate two volleyball nets or four badminton nets. Whether you're looking to practice, compete, or host an event, our gyms are available for rental at $62.50 per hour. Join us at the Fieldhouse and make the most of our top-notch athletic spaces!
Weight Room
Our main weight gym is 7,200 square feet and is comprised of 25 cardio training pieces including treadmills, stair mills, ellipticals, upright/hybrid/recumbent bikes, and rowing machines. The facility also features a strength equipment area, dumbbells area, along with a free-weight, 6-position rack for bench press and squats, a functional movement area, 40 ft turf and 6 Olympic weight lifting platforms.
Our Sport Performance room is available for private bookings through main office and includes most of the equipment from the main weight room.
Ben Avery Gym
The Ben Avery Gym is the home of our varsity basketball teams! Featuring premium hardwood floors and ample bleacher seating, this versatile gym is ideal for various athletic events. It can accommodate a full-size basketball court, two smaller basketball courts, two volleyball nets, or eight badminton courts. Perfect for tournaments and large events, the Ben Avery Gym is available for rental at $142.50 per hour. Experience the best in athletic facilities at 91ÇÑ×Ó's Ben Avery Gym!
Squash Courts
For squash enthusiasts, we offer two international glass-backed courts.
Students and members can book up to a 40-minute court time. Students and members must add two different player names to officially reserve the courts. Campus Recreation reserves the right to address any booking privileges.
Proper attire and shoes required and eye protection is highly recommended.
Personal Training

A ten pass option is available as a punch card. All passes are not replaceable and are non-refundable.

- Monthly memberships: $40 + HST

Lockers are available for members and full-time students. Must end with your membership.
Day use lockers are available. No overnight use of lockers with the exception of locker rentals. Please limit the amount of valuables and bring a lock. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Member Towel service. Price is included when purchasing a membership.

Area specific policies are posted in each facility.
- Participation in Campus Recreation programs and facilities is completely voluntary.
- Users participate at their own risk and assume all responsibility for their own health and safety. 91ÇÑ×Ó and Campus Recreation are not liable for injuries sustained during participation in 91ÇÑ×Ó facilities or programs.
- All users must be a current LU student, faculty/staff, Community or their guests. Valid ID cards must be presented upon entrance to the facility. Expired, unauthorized, or counterfeit ID cards will be confiscated and privileges may be revoked.
- The following age restrictions apply to each of the following facilities:
- Aquatics Centre and Pool: all users must be 13 years or older to use facilities without adult supervision.
- Recreation Centre – all users must be at least 18 years of age.
- Alcohol, tobacco products, glass containers, and pets, with the exception of service animals, are prohibited at all facilities.
- Proper workout/swim attire and footwear is required for all users. Guidelines are posted in the gym and workout/swim attire should reflect our value of respect whereby all gym members can remain comfortable and safe.
- No equipment should be removed from any facility without prior consent of Campus Recreation Staff.
- All equipment should be returned to its proper location after use.
- Personal items should be secured in lockers. Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen personal property.
- Participants are expected to act responsibly and respect the rights of others. Unacceptable language and behaviour are prohibited.
- Photography, videotaping, posting of announcements/flyers without permission from Campus Recreation is prohibited.
- Activities deemed dangerous, improper, or violate the intended use are prohibited.
- Campus Recreation employees have the final authority on all safety related issues.
- Failure to follow or adhere to the facility policies and/or the direction of Campus Recreation employee may result in dismissal from facility, revocation of membership, or judicial review.
- Report all maintenance issues, emergencies, vandalism, or misuse of Campus Recreation facilities immediately to Campus Recreation (705-673-6573)
